Could Trump run again in 2029?
Could is the operative word.
As we move into a popular Holiday many believe signifies FREEDOM, I urge you to explore whether or not you truly have it before you choose to celebrate it. The Holiday also known more accurately as Independence Day, is a federal holiday in the United States that commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, by the Continental Congress.
This declaration proclaimed the thirteen American colonies' independence from Great Britain. That is “A” Freedom of sorts, as many other things in the Declaration were, for which we are obviously fortunate, however, it did not provide absolute FREEDOM, or equality among all humans, in any event. And while we are in a better place than many third world countries - there is certainly room still for improvement nonetheless. Much of what that Declaration Stands for as well as the Constitution are being threatened, and while they didn’t and don’t solve everything, they are still all we have.
See our 4 part series called:Understanding America - PART-1 of A Four Part Series - if you wish to explore what a Republic actually stood for and how it looks today.
Why everyone is concerned about Trump Running a third term is understandable, however, I would like to point out that if he has done this much in such a short period of not even 7 months, , why are we worried more about whether he can run again or not, rather than focusing on the here and now and the remaining years and months he has left??
There is A LOT more damage that can be done with the remaining 3 years and 5 months left which ends January 20, 2029 technically speaking to complete his second 4 year term.
May I suggest we start focusing on how to stop what is happening rather than the drama of WHAT is happening.

In any case ok, we will explore this continued curiosity of whether another term can be a possibility or not.
Why Control the House and Senate via threats?
So he can run another term or even by pass being voted in through control tactics which can be mighty coercive if you think about it. What would YOU do if you and your family and reputation were threatened? Many would probably cave just as Hitlers Gestapo and regime did in order to put food on the table or simply remain living. Trust me, when you live in a system that can no longer protect you because you are outnumbered - you do what you have to, and if you don’t believe that - you are deceiving yourself.
Let’s have a look at the facts.
The courts play a role of course.
Role of Courts: The judiciary plays a crucial role in interpreting the Constitution and reviewing the legality of executive actions and laws. Any attempt by a President to overstep their constitutional authority or alter election rules outside of established legal procedures would likely face immediate legal challenges and be struck down by the courts.
That said, we must remember that the courts rulings are decided by JUDGES. Let’s look at that a little closer instead of making assumptions.
Balance of Power: A Look at the President's Influence Over Congress and the Judiciary
As of July 2025, the current administration has a significant degree of influence over the legislative and judicial branches of the U.S. government, though "control" is a nuanced term in the American system of checks and balances. Here's a breakdown of the political landscape:
Control of Congress:
The Republican party currently holds a majority in both the House of Representatives and the Senate. This gives the president's party the power to set the legislative agenda, decide which bills come to a vote, and lead all congressional committees.
The House of Representatives: With a Republican majority, the Speaker of the House is a member of the president's party. This leadership role is crucial for guiding legislation and prioritizing the administration's policy goals.
The Senate: A Republican majority in the Senate means the Majority Leader is also from the president's party. This is particularly important for the confirmation of presidential appointments, including cabinet members, ambassadors, and federal judges.
Influence Over the Judiciary:
The president's influence over the judiciary is primarily exercised through the appointment of federal judges. This is a lasting legacy, as these appointments are for life.
Judiciary Committees: Both the House Judiciary Committee and the Senate Judiciary Committee are chaired by Republicans. The Senate Judiciary Committee plays a critical role in the confirmation process for all federal judges, including those on the Supreme Court. The chairperson of this committee has significant power to advance or hold up nominations.
The Supreme Court: The Supreme Court currently has a 6-3 conservative majority, with all six conservative justices having been appointed by Republican presidents. This ideological alignment can be favorable to the current administration's legal and policy arguments.
Broader Federal Judiciary: The picture across the entire federal judiciary is more mixed.
Courts of Appeals: The U.S. Courts of Appeals, which are the intermediate level of the federal judicial system, are nearly evenly split between judges appointed by Democratic and Republican presidents. As of mid-2025, approximately 49% of circuit court judges were appointed by Democrats and 48% by Republicans, with some vacancies.
District Courts: In the U.S. District Courts, the trial courts of the federal system, a majority of judges (around 56%) were appointed by Democratic presidents as of mid-2025, compared to about 36% appointed by Republicans, with a number of vacancies.
What This Means:
While the president's party controls the legislative process in both houses of Congress and the key committees that oversee the judiciary, the composition of the federal courts is not monolithic. The slim majority in the Senate and the existing makeup of the lower federal courts mean that the administration must still navigate a complex political and legal landscape. The long-term impact of the current president on the judiciary will depend on the number of vacancies that arise and the success in confirming new judges.

Basically it is said that There is only 1 way for Trump to “potentially” Run another term.
Constitutional Amendment to repeal or modify term limits:
The Idea: This is the only truly "legal" way to get around term limits. A request would have to be made by trump after he leaves office in 2028 and he would have to convince Congress to amend the Constitution. A Constitutional amendment requires a supermajority of support or two-thirds vote of both houses of Congress or by a convention called for by two-thirds of the state legislatures. It would then need to be ratified by three-fourths of the states-— a steep task for any political coalition at any point in time.
I suppose that will be determined depending upon how many members of Congress and the House and more that Trump controls when that time comes. In addition Trump has some of the toughest Lawyers money can buy to find ways around and loopholes surrounding whatever er it is he wants to accomplish in spite of protections and laws put into place to prevent them.
While lawyers can always find ways to interpret precise wording, the overarching intent of the U.S. Constitution, particularly the 22nd Amendment, is to prevent any individual from becoming an "elected monarch" or circumventing the regular electoral process to remain in power. Any attempt to exploit a "loophole" would be met with immense legal, political, and public resistance, and would likely be struck down by the courts.
That being said; just remember all that he has already done so far that was not supposed to have been possible. Then ask yourself - if you or anything in place in our social or Governmental system has ever been protected without question.
Now I want you to realize that anything can change. Anything can be taken away that has been given. When we put anyone and any organization ahead of ourselves and give it the power to do as it pleases without our intervention - we run the risk of tyranny.
The long arm of the government has reached too far into living rooms and personal business.
Isn’t it time to put it in check to perform it’s original function TO SERVE WE THE PEOPLE since the people are supposed to be the ones that elect them to serve?
There is A LOT wrong with the current state of Government both Federal and States.
It’s time to wake up, learn about it and then , do what we you can as you can.
The first step though is to join together.
I have other articles on my site that tell you how to do that legally and peacefully, if you are so inclined.
Here is a link to explore but one of them.
